Wood Sealer & Protection Services
Most wood treatments sit on top of the surface. They look good for a season or two, then peel, crack, and need reapplying. Nano X works differently.
Our GoNano wood sealer penetrates into the wood at the molecular level — bonding with the wood fibers themselves rather than just coating them. The result is protection that doesn’t peel, doesn’t wash off, and doesn’t require constant maintenance. One treatment extends the life of your wood surfaces significantly, whether that’s a deck, fence, pergola, wood siding, or any other exterior wood.
What Nano Wood Sealing Technology Actually Does
The Science Behind It
Wood deteriorates primarily from moisture and UV exposure. Water gets into the grain, causes swelling and contraction through freeze-thaw cycles, and eventually leads to rot, splitting, and discoloration. UV rays break down the lignin that holds wood fibers together, causing graying and structural weakening.
GoNano’s nanotechnology targets both of these pathways. The nanoparticles bond with the wood’s molecular structure to create:
- Hydrophobicity — water beads off the surface instead of soaking in, dramatically reducing moisture intrusion
- UV resistance — the coating reduces the sun’s ability to degrade the wood’s structure and color
- Flexibility preservation — unlike rigid surface sealers that crack as wood expands and contracts, nano bonding moves with the wood
- Breathability — water vapor can still escape from the wood, which prevents the trapped moisture that causes rot under traditional sealers
Comparison: Nano Sealer vs. Traditional Wood Sealer
Traditional Sealer | Nano X Wood Sealer |
|---|---|
Sits on top of the wood surface; peels and cracks over time; requires reapplication every 1–3 years; can trap moisture under the film | Penetrates and bonds at the molecular level; doesn’t peel; long-lasting protection; allows the wood to breathe naturally |
What We Protect
Surfaces Ideal for Nano Wood Sealing
- Decks and patios — high-foot-traffic surfaces that take heavy sun and moisture exposure
- Fences — perimeter wood that faces the elements year-round without much maintenance
- Pergolas and shade structures — overhead wood that soaks up UV and rain
- Wood siding — exterior cladding where moisture intrusion is a direct structural concern
- Outdoor furniture — tables, benches, and built-in seating exposed to Utah’s climate extremes
- Garage doors and wood trim — frequently overlooked but equally vulnerable to weather
If it’s wood and it’s outside, Nano X can protect it. Utah’s climate — hot summers, cold winters, low humidity, and significant UV intensity — is particularly hard on exterior wood. The GoNano system was developed specifically to handle the kinds of conditions where traditional sealers underperform.

Simple 3 step installation
01
Inspection
We assess your wood surfaces at no charge to evaluate their current condition and confirm they're candidates for nano sealing. Surfaces that are already significantly rotted or structurally compromised may need repair before treatment.
02
Preparation
If needed, we clean the surface and address any minor repairs before application. Clean, dry wood gives the nanoparticles the best surface to bond with.
03
Application
The GoNano wood sealer is applied in a single day. The treatment is clear — it won't change the color of your wood (though it often enhances its natural tone by reducing the gray and weathered look). Once applied, the wood is protected.
Why Nano X for Wood Protection in Utah
the same system that's been proven on roofing surfaces, adapted for wood
far longer intervals between reapplication compared to traditional sealers
we understand Utah's climate and the specific demands it places on exterior wood
free inspection, clear pricing, one-day application

Common Questions About Wood Sealing
How long will the treatment last?
With GoNano nano wood sealing technology, you can expect significantly longer protection compared to conventional sealers. Exact longevity depends on the wood type, its current condition, and the level of UV and moisture exposure.
Will it change the look of my wood?
The treatment is clear and penetrating, so it won’t dramatically change the appearance. Most clients notice their wood looks cleaner and shows its natural grain more clearly after treatment — the gray, weathered look diminishes as the wood’s color is enhanced.
Do I need to sand or strip my deck first?
If your deck has old peeling paint or thick surface sealers, those need to be addressed before nano treatment can penetrate effectively. We’ll let you know what prep is needed during the free inspection.
Is the product safe for use around plants and pets?
Yes. GoNano products are non-toxic and safe for use around your yard, plants, and family.
